Syncopations
Working with a palette of muted colors reminiscent of the 1950s and 60s Rousseau experiments with contrasting state-of-the-art metallic and matte finishes and interference paints. As the colors shift relative to changing light sources and the viewers positions, the paintings become animated, living artifacts.
